I’ll be honest, I wasn’t always into boba. It seemed like one of those trendy things people loved for the novelty. Fast forward to now, and one of my favorite indulgences is sipping a sweet boba tea while flipping through a good book. Books & Boba? The perfect duo.

The place? TBAAR, nestled inside the Kyuramen restaurant in Duluth, just north of Atlanta. I wasn’t planning on stopping in, but their Happy Hour sign lured me right back around. Yes, I made a U-turn for tea, and it was worth it.

TBAAR sits inside Kyuramen but has its own unique energy. The shop was spotless, cozy, and the service was super friendly. Watching the tea-shaking machine work its magic was oddly satisfying. There’s a rhythm to it, like your drink is being prepped for greatness.
Not only was the drink delicious, but it also came in the cutest branded cup, perfect for IG snaps or TikTok reviews. And I mean, luxury doesn’t always mean expensive, right?
